We, the people of St. Thomas More Parish, gifted and led by the Holy Spirit, are called to build up the Kingdom of God among the college communities of Kalamazoo.
Diverse, yet one, we are called to be the Body of Christ, to praise and worship our heavenly Father, to proclaim God's Word, to love and serve others, especially the poor and neglected. We welcome into our parish family all who wish to share in this mission: Kalamazoo College, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, WMU School of Medicine, Davenport University.
St. Tom's has a combined population of college students and permanent residents (all those whose primary residence is in Kalamazoo).
Permanent residents register in the parish by filling out a Parish Registration Form, available in the narthex at church or in our parish office. Each fall we invite our non-students to fill out an update activity form, which gives us changes of address/email/phone, and invites permaent residents to participate in many activities in the parish. That form is available in church during August-September, and can be filled out or updated any time during the year.
Students register with the parish each fall by filling out Student Registration form cards. The cards are available again when the new semester begins, as some students change addresses, or return from study abroad. From the information you give, we develop a database that enables us to keep you informed about the activities and events of interest to you.
