Kalamazoo Catholic at St. Thomas More Catholic Student Parish is the home of Catholic Campus Ministry in Kalamazoo. Conveniently located between Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo College, we also serve those studying at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. We are a full fledged parish, with more than 750 registered parishioners, many of them employed by the colleges or university. We offer full sacramental preparation (adult Confirmation, marriage preparation - even if your wedding will be in your home parish) and personal counseling. If you are new to Kalamazoo or if you have grown up here and are now attending college, even if you are living at home, we hope you will check us out. Our mission is to serve the college communities and to live our Catholic faith.
For when we can't be together physically, we have the technology for the next best way to keep you safe, connected to your support system, and growing in your faith. Over spring and summer, we've offered virtual small group bible studies, daily rosary groups, holy hour, Mass watch parties, gaming groups, and more. As we head into an uncertain fall semester, we are sure that we CAN stay connected to each other and, most importantly, to JESUS!

As we start the fall semester, we will not be able to host Sunday Suppers until the Diocese of Kalamazoo moves into a further stage of reopening. As of now, we are unable to host anything other than Mass, holy hour, and Confession inside our parish building.
A free, homemade meal following 6:00 pm Sunday Mass each week that WMU is in session. Join 60-80 of your fellow college students to make new friends and catch up with the old. Bring your roommate, friend, or significant other with you--All are welcome!

As we start the fall semester, we will not be able to host any student activities indoors until the Diocese of Kalamazoo moves into a further stage of reopening. As of now, we are unable to host anything other than Mass and Confession inside our parish building. However, we have made modifications to our usual More at Midweek to host it outdoors and to leverage the good weather and daylight during the beginning of fall semester. As our activity changes each week, social media, the bulletin, and our email list are the best way to stay up-to-date on the what, when, and where of this event.
Thursdays 7-8 PM in the Worship Space with Fr. Harry Potter. There is usually an opportunity for confession offered. Holy hour is in person and there is a live-stream option most weeks through @kalamazoocatholic1 on Facebook Live.
We are not able to offer shuttle service for Fall 2020. Please check back for updates.

Weekend retreats are an important part of our ministry to the college students. Planned and run by student leaders, these weekends away from campus provide students with an opportunity to relate real life issues and concerns with our Catholic faith. The retreats build up the faith community among our student population and are typically held in November and February.
We offer student-led, small group bible studies that fit your schedule and interests. In the past we've had studies with groups of first-years, grad students, athletes, Greek Life, and more to study many different aspects of Scripture. We have a group for you! Sign up is already open and links to the form are to the left in our Sign Ups section.
